Graduate Design Engineer
The role will report directly into the Engineering Manager, working with a senior engineer to assist with various projects.
This is an exciting opportunity to develop new bespoke baling machinery from concept to delivery, including hydraulic and electrical system design. Whilst based in Dungannon projects are wide ranging geographically.
The Job:
- Develop initial concept drawings/models for customers.
- Evolve concept designs into detailed designs incorporating mechanical, hydraulic and electrical features.
- Create detailed engineering drawings for manufacture.
- Amend existing designs for bespoke customer changes.
- Manage customer queries through the project.
- Liaise with manufacturing team to ensure projects run to schedule.
- Maintain technical specifications and user documentation.
- Completion of BOMs.
- Traveling to site to assist with installations and commissioning.
- Assist aftersales team with troubleshooting hydraulic/mechanical/electrical issues.
The Person:
- Degree qualified in Mechanical Engineering (or similar) or possess relevant experience
- 2D and 3D modelling experience (AutoCAD / Solidworks)
- Excellent time management and communication skills
- Excellent people and interpersonal skills
- Understanding of DFM
- Logical thinker with good analytical and problem-solving skills
- Flexibility to travel
- Driving Licence
(Desirable)
- 1 year’s experience in similar engineering field (student placement year accepted)
