CK International, a market leader in waste compaction and baling solutions, is seeking a skilled Lean Transformation Engineer to support the development and execution of site-wide continuous improvement initiatives, embedding lean principles and driving measurable improvements in productivity, quality, and cost. Salary will be dependent on experience.
Key responsibilities include:
- Developing and deploying lean processes aligned with business objectives.
- Championing lean methodologies such as 5S, Kaizen, Value Stream Mapping, Standard Work, and Visual Management.
- Analysing manufacturing, fabrication and business support processes to identify waste, bottlenecks, and inefficiencies.
- Leading cross-functional improvement projects to optimise throughput, reduce lead times, and improve quality.
- Establishing KPIs, dashboards, and governance structures to track progress and sustain gains.
- Acting as a change leader, embedding a culture of continuous improvement and accountability.
- Supporting and coaching managers and supervisors to adopt new ways of working.
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams including engineering, quality, and supply chain to implement process enhancements.
- Developing and maintaining process documentation, including standard operating procedures (SOPs), workflows, and training materials.
- Conducting root cause analysis and implementing corrective actions to resolve process-related issues.
- Ensuring all process changes comply with regulations, safety standards, and quality requirements.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related discipline or a minimum of 3-5 years of experience in process engineering, continuous improvement or lean manufacturing roles.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with experience in data-driven decision-making.
- Proficiency in process mapping tools and data analysis software.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Lean Six Sigma Green Belt certification or higher.
- Familiarity with ERP systems (Business Central) and digital manufacturing tools.
