CK International design and manufacture advanced recycling machinery entirely in-house, delivering engineered solutions to customers worldwide. As the business continues to scale, we are investing in strengthening the systems, data, and processes that support our operations from sales through to manufacturing, service, and finance. We are seeking a Business Systems & Transformation Manager to take ownership of our business systems landscape and lead the next phase of operational digitalisation across the company. This is a business-critical role responsible for ensuring our systems support efficient growth, provide reliable operational insight, and enable automation across departments. Working closely with senior leadership, you will shape how technology supports the organisation while coordinating delivery through established external IT and ERP partners. This role offers the opportunity to take genuine ownership of business systems within an ambitious and growing engineering company. You will play a central role in shaping how technology enables efficiency, scalability, and data-driven decision-making across the organisation over the coming years.
Key Responsibilities
- Business Systems Leadership
- Own and develop the company’s core systems environment centred around Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central.
- Develop central integrations to ensure business systems are structured, scalable, and aligned.
- Establish governance and best practice for system usage, data structure, and change control.
- Act as the internal owner of system performance and continuous improvement.
- Transformation & Operational Improvement
- Lead delivery of business system and process improvement initiatives across Finance, Engineering, Production, Sales and Service.
- Identify opportunities to automate workflows and reduce manual processes.
- Support the digitalisation of manufacturing and operational activities, including shop-floor data capture and reporting.
- Drive adoption of consistent, efficient ways of working across departments.
- Vendor & Partner Management
- Act as the primary relationship owner for external IT support providers and ERP partners.
- Define priorities, manage delivery expectations, and ensure value from third-party engagements.
- Coordinate upgrades, improvements, and system developments.
- Provide internal leadership across multi-party projects.
- Business Partnership
- Work directly with department leaders to understand operational challenges and translate them into system solutions.
- Support development of meaningful management reporting and performance visibility.
- Contribute to long-term operational and technology strategy.
Skills and Experience Required
- Proven experience managing or improving ERP or enterprise business systems within a manufacturing, engineering, or production-led organisation.
- Experience delivering system implementations or operational transformation projects.
- Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, costing, or production environments.
- Experience working with external technology partners or system integrators.
- Able to bridge strategic business objectives and practical system delivery.
- Confident influencing stakeholders across technical and non-technical teams.
- Structured, analytical, and improvement focused.
- Technically strong to manage and implement solutions.
- Comfortable operating with autonomy and ownership.
Desirable
- Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central or comparable ERP platforms is highly advantageous.
- Experience with Microsoft One Drive and Share Point.
- Development experience with system APIs.
