CK Group are recruiting for a Research Scientist – Immune Reset to join a global pharmaceutical company on a contract basis initially for 12 months.

Salary: Flexible depending on experience.

Research Scientist – Immune Reset Role:

  • Support the progression of therapeutic molecules at all stages of research and clinical development.
  • Perform translational in vitro assays to evaluate novel therapeutics, investigate mechanisms of action and identify novel therapeutic axes.
  • Develop and perform relevant functional assays for screening, mechanism of action and target validation studies as appropriate.
  • Analyse and interrogate scientific data and demonstrate ability to troubleshoot technical issues.
  • Maintain compliance to procedure by completing training modules and maintaining accurate experimental records.
  • Comply with human tissue act (HTA) regulations, ensuring the relevant training is up-to-date and that HTA policies and procedures are read and understood.

Your Background:

  • Experience of performing functional immune cell assays including cytotoxicity assays, proliferation assays, mixed lymphocyte reactions and antigen recall assays
  • Knowledge of assays to assess mechanisms of Fc mediated depletion such as ADCC, ADCP or CDC
  • Experience in the isolation of primary immune cell subsets from whole blood using FACS and MACS
  • Experience in multi-parameter flow cytometry, including design of large antibody panels to provide deep profiling of immune cell subsets.
  • Proficiency in relevant software packages for data analysis – e.g., Flow Jo, GraphPad Prism, Excel, and R
  • History of compliance with human tissue act guidelines for work with primary human cells/tissues.
