CK Group are recruiting for a QA Manager on behalf of one of a global human and animal nutrition company, to lead the establishment and maintenance of the quality management system, working to ISO 9001 and FSSC 22000. This role is based in Kent and is a permanent role.

The Role
This is a key role which includes responsibility for monitoring and advising on the performance of the quality management system, producing data and reporting on performance whilst measuring against set standards to maintain a robust Quality Management System to meet legal requirements, liaising with staff across the company.

Responsibilities

  • Liaise with managers and staff throughout the organisation to ensure that the quality management system is functioning properly.
  • Support strategic business goals by planning, directing, and coordinating the activities.
  • Ensuring the FSMS and QMS is established, implemented, maintained and updated.
  • Reporting to the MD on the effectiveness and suitability of the FSMS and QMS as part of being a member of the management team.
  • A critical role in effective auditing and audit preparation of Production Processes.
  • Approval of new suppliers and supplier management and raw material specifications. Including proactively management of supplier incidents alongside procurement.
  • Project support and management of internal audit system including internal audits pertaining to company accreditations (FSSC22000, IS09001), GMP and Glass brittle materials audits.
  • Proficient management of the customers including proactive management of complaints system, customer liaison, and facilitating corrective actions to sustain customer satisfaction, customer audits and visits as required.
  • Support regular review and management of HACCP, TACCP & VACCP and Quality Manual.
  • Using Root Cause Analysis (RCA) method of problem solving to identify the root causes of faults or problems.

Your Background:

  • Bachelor / MSc Degree in business studies with a focus on marketing/sales or technological studies with a food focus.
  • Enthusiastic and hardworking individual with a focus on providing the best possible service.
  • High attention to detail in producing a quality output and able to maintain this when under pressure.
  • Food Science or Food Manufacturing Industry experience.
  • Knowledge and experience of Lead internal or supplier auditing.
  • Knowledge and experience of IS09001 and FSSC22000 or BRC standards & Kosher certification.
  • Global Food Safety Initiative Certification
  • At least level 3 HACCP and Food Safety & Hygiene.
