Job Description
CK Group are recruiting for a Laboratory Manager, to join our client based in Penryn, Cornwall. This is a permanent role, where the successful candidate will lead the recently established analytical testing facility. This is a full-time position, Monday to Friday: 9am – 5pm.
The Laboratory Manager Role:
- Oversee the daily operations of the laboratory.
- Ensure that all analyses are conducted efficiently and accurately.
- Management of a small team of skilled scientists and technicians.
- Responsible for implementing and overseeing health and safety protocol.
- Maintain all lab equipment, ensuring calibration, traceability, and audit readiness.
- Liaise with project managers regarding analytical requirements.

- Degree qualification in Chemistry or related scientific discipline.
- 3-5 years of laboratory management experience in analytical chemistry.
- Experience of managing, supervising or training staff.
- An RPS qualification or be willing to undertake the relevant training.
