CK Group are recruiting for a Laboratory Manager to join a busy analytical laboratory at their site in Middlesbrough. This is a permanent role working Monday – Friday.
The role:
-The overall responsibility of ensuring optimum achievement of operational targets, in the most cost effective manner, consistent with safe operating practices.
– To lead the teams, set expectations with team members, create an effective and safe environment.
-Consider improvements and efficiencies to processes and procedures
– To coordinate the daily workload and to ensure the laboratory equipment and test methods are operational.
– To coordinate the Laboratory Work System to ensure adequate staffing levels on the shift pattern and weekend working requirements.
– Provide support to the Day Supervisor and Laboratory Shift Supervisors to ensure relevant
documentation and staff training has been completed to meet the daily requirements.
Your background:
-Degree/Higher National Certificate in related subject.
– Excellent leadership & communication skills
– Experience of leading large, high performing teams in similar environments.
-Detailed Knowledge of relevant laboratory operations/standards and properties of relevant chemical products
-Detailed Knowledge of relevant Quality, Health, Safety and Environmental standards
