CK Group is recruiting for a Head of Lab Systems and Engineering to join a growing research facility in Oxford on a permanent basis. The role requires on-site presence and a background in both science and engineering, with a focus on IT and laboratory systems.

The Role:
This leadership position involves designing, implementing, and maintaining laboratory IT infrastructure, including data systems, networks, and digital platforms. The candidate will drive engineering strategies, optimize lab processes, and foster operational excellence and continuous improvement.
Responsibilities:
- Partner with research leaders, IT, and vendors to deliver scalable lab technology solutions
- Identify emerging lab technologies and IT innovations to enhance research and workflows
- Maintain calibration and lifecycle management of lab equipment to ensure maximum uptime
- Ensure compliance with regulatory, health, safety, and data security standards
Candidate Requirements:
- Degree in relevant scientific and IT disciplines
- Experience managing laboratory operations, engineering systems, and IT infrastructure in research environments
- Knowledge of LIMS, electronic notebooks, cloud computing, and data storage
- Wet-lab skills and understanding of regulatory standards (e.g., GLP, ISO)
