About the Role:
Our client, a small yet dynamic global pharmaceutical company specialising in rare diseases, is seeking an experienced Director of Global Medical Information Operations . This is a 6-month contract role, offering the opportunity to drive operational excellence and innovation across medical information services worldwide.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide operational oversight of the global Medical Information enquiry handling service, ensuring continuous inspection readiness across all regions.
- Optimise and enhance existing processes to improve efficiency and performance.
- Manage relationships with third-party medical information vendors, including contracting, onboarding, and monitoring performance.
- Support regional Medical Information leads in launching new front-line contact centres or expanding services with existing vendors.
- Oversee core service delivery while proactively identifying and addressing risks, resource constraints, and process/system barriers.
- Lead the preparation and execution of internal and external audits and inspections.
- Drive and support specific Medical Information projects, ensuring successful delivery within scope and timelines.
Skills & Experience Required:
- Degree-level education (or higher).
- Significant experience in Medical Information and Medical Operations, including regional or global leadership.
- Strong expertise in medical information systems and databases.
- Proven experience in vendor management and outsourcing partnerships.
- Exceptional planning and project management skills, with the ability to juggle multiple priorities effectively.
