The successful candidate will support construct design, protein production, and biochemical characterization to help advance novel drug discovery programmes.
Responsibilities:
- Independently plan, execute and troubleshoot protein purification workflows, including affinity chromatography, Protein A and size-exclusion chromatography.
- Manage and coordinate recombinant protein expression and purification activities in-house and with CRO partners, ensuring material is suitable for downstream assays.
- Establish, optimise and transfer protein purification methods from external partners where required.
- Develop practical approaches to overcome protein production and purification challenges and proactively identify potential risks or blockers.
- Analyse and interpret purification and biochemical data to support project decisions and recommend next steps.
- Work with CROs and other external partners to support protein delivery, monitor progress and ensure agreed technical requirements are met.
- Support the evaluation of outsourcing partners where additional external capability is required.
Your Background:
- A minimum of a BSc Degree in Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, or related discipline.
