CK Group are currently recruiting for a Technical Manager, to join a materials and polymers manufacturing company, at their site based in Ware. Your normal working day will be from 8am to 5pm Mon-Fri.
The Company
Our client develops and manufactures high performance polymers, for use in various applications.
Location
This role is located near Hertford, easily commutable from North London, Hoddesdon, Harlow, Stevenage and surrounding areas.
The Role
Your main duties will be:
- Supervise and control QC database
- Instructing laboratory personnel to perform QC Testing / R&D work.
- Leading R&D functions and new product developments.
- Handling complaint investigation and reporting.
- Participating in meetings with customers and/or potential customers to progress R&D collaborations, complaint investigation, etc.
- Have overall responsibility for the technical file within the Quality Management Systems (QMS) (ISO 13485, Medical Device Directive/Regulations)
Your Background
The ideal candidate for this role will have the following skills and experience:
- PhD Degree level qualification in Chemistry
- Previous experience within polymer industry, especially photopolymer chemistry preferable.
- Previous Environmental / QMS experience desirable
- Sound Knowledge of chemical H&S, ideally supported with formal qualification.
- Understanding/experience with Quality Management System requirements within a highly regulated industry.
