CK Group are working in partnership with a leading UK life sciences biotechnology company, to recruit an experienced Virologist at a Principal Scientist level who has significant project management experience, to join them at their site based in East London on a permanent basis.

The Role:
Provide scientific expertise, leadership and advice to multiple projects.
Develop training plans and deliver study management training programs alongside line managers.
Training, mentoring and supervising all Senior Research Scientists and Study Leads.
Client facing role, supporting in the setup of their projects.
Responsibilities:
- Provide full Study Management function.
- Provide technical advice and expertise in clinical study design, in line with client requirements.
- Attend client meetings and conferences as a technical expert in virology, viral challenge model and GMP Virus.
- Provide expert understanding of the mechanism of action of viral infection and antiviral drugs and vaccines.
- Have an expert knowledge in the field of virology as well as a thorough understanding of developments in assay technologies.
- Oversee the initiation of the study plans and assign resource for the execution of scientific experiments.
Your Background:
- Degree in relevant scientific subject or PhD in Biological Science.
- Expert Virology knowledge gained throughout academia and industry.
- Good working knowledge of GCP labs and ICH GCP standards.
- Ability to supervise and mentor.
- Experienced in project management and providing technical support to senior key stakeholders and clients.
