Head Of Production

CK Group are recruiting for a Head of Production on behalf of a growing Cell Therapy CDMO to lead a manufacturing team and oversee production activities. This role will be based at their site in Cambridge on a permanent basis. The Role: This is a key role where you will be leading the manufacturing operations and developing a highly skilled team within the Production Department into a new era of excellence. Responsibilities: Develop and implement production strategies to meet client demands and business objectives. Act as a production primary point of contact during internal and external audits. Play a key role in facility design, capital projects, commissioning, and validation with support of future cleanroom expansion. Lead and manage a cross functional team providing guidance, training, and mentorship. Implement effective working practices including implementation of shift systems. Oversee scheduling of staff and facilities to ensure uninterrupted manufacture and supply of ATMPs, and ensure all areas associated with manufacturing are compliant with UK Regulatory. Your Background: Degree in Pharmaceutical Sciences, Biotechnology, Biochemistry or equivalent. Expertise in GMP manufacturing of ATMPs and proven experience in production management ideally within a CDMO cell therapy setting. Proven track record of scaling up/scaling out of ATMP manufacturing processes. Strong leadership and team management skills with the ability to motivate and inspire others.
