We are looking for an Architectural Technician to join our Birmingham office and contribute to a varied portfolio of projects.

This is an excellent opportunity for a proactive, detail-focused professional who enjoys technical delivery and wants to develop their career in a collaborative and supportive environment.

In this role, you will support architects and senior technicians in producing detailed building regulations and working drawing packages.

You will also be involved in surveying, design development, and planning submissions, while liaising with clients, building control officers, planning officers, and consultants throughout the project process.

We are looking for someone with a solid understanding of UK building regulations and planning processes, strong communication skills, and a practical approach to problem‑solving in the built environment.

You should be organised, detail‑oriented, and motivated to continue learning as part of a growing team.

This role would suit someone who wants to build their technical expertise while gaining hands‑on experience across a range of residential projects.

Key Responsibilities Produce detailed technical drawings using Auto CAD.

Prepare high-quality drawing packages in line with company standards.

Assist with surveying, design development, and planning work.

Write technical specifications that comply with building control regulations and approved documents.

Work closely with senior architects and project teams to develop coordinated design solutions.

Continue developing your technical knowledge and professional skills.

What We’re Looking For At least 5 years’ experience in residential architecture.

Strong Auto CAD skills.

Good knowledge of UK planning policy and building regulations.

A strong understanding of CAD principles and technical detailing.

Graphic design knowledge would be an advantage.

Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well within a team.

A keen eye for detail and a genuine interest in architecture and design.
