We are currently recruiting for experienced Business and Business AAT Lecturers to support a leading Further Education college in West London.
These are excellent opportunities for lecturers looking for long-term assignments within an established FE environment, with the potential for ongoing work throughout the academic year.
The Role
You will be responsible for delivering engaging and high-quality teaching across Business and/or AAT programmes, supporting learners to achieve their academic, professional and progression goals.
Depending on your experience, you may be delivering programmes across Levels 2–5, including vocational and higher-level provision.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver engaging Business and/or AAT lessons to FE learners
- Plan and prepare lessons, schemes of work and teaching materials
- Deliver curriculum content in line with programme and awarding-body requirements
- Monitor learner progress, attendance and achievement
- Maintain accurate records and contribute to quality assurance processes
- Work collaboratively with curriculum and support teams
- Business Lecturer – Ideal Background
- We are particularly interested in candidates with experience across areas such as:
- Business Studies
- Business Management
- Finance
- Economics
- Accounting
Experience delivering BTEC/Pearson Business programmes would be advantageous.
AAT Lecturer – Ideal Background
For AAT opportunities, candidates should have relevant experience in
- AAT qualifications
- Accounting
- Bookkeeping
- Financial Accounting
- Management Accounting
- Payroll
- Business Finance
Experience delivering AAT programmes across Levels 2–4 would be highly desirable.
Requirements
- Relevant subject qualification
- FE / college teaching experience desirable
- Teaching qualification such as PGCE, Cert Ed or Level 5 DET desirable
- Strong subject knowledge and ability to engage learners
- Experience with vocational or professional qualifications advantageous
- Excellent communication and classroom management skills
- Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of learners
QTS is not essential for these FE positions. Candidates with strong industry experience and relevant teaching/training backgrounds are encouraged to apply.
