CJS Recruitment are seeking site managers for a succesful roofing contractor specialising in commercial and retail sectors. one for day operations and one for night operations β to lead on-site teams with a focus on fire installation and fire compartmentalization in roofing and construction environments. This is a 6-month temporary role with a view to becoming permanent, based on performance and project continuity. Key Responsibilities: * Oversee and manage all on-site activities for roofing and fire protection installations. * Ensure compliance with fire safety regulations, including proper execution of fire compartmentation works. * Coordinate teams of subcontractors and in-house staff to ensure projects are completed safely, on time, and to specification. * Conduct daily site inductions, toolbox talks, and health & safety briefings. * Work closely with the Project Manager and Health & Safety teams to ensure adherence to site policies. * Carry out quality control checks and sign off works in line with fire safety standards and manufacturer guidelines. * Maintain site records including risk assessments, method statements, and daily diaries. * Liaise with clients and stakeholders, providing updates and resolving any on-site issues. * Supervise installation of fire barriers, fire stopping, and other passive fire protection systems. Requirements: * Proven experience as a Site Manager in the roofing or construction industry. * Strong background in fire installation and fire compartmentation (essential). * SMSTS or SSSTS certification. * Valid CSCS card. * First Aid at Work (preferred). * Sound knowledge of health and safety regulations, particularly related to fire safety and passive fire protection. * Strong leadership, organisational, and communication skills. * Ability to manage teams and deliver under tight deadlines, including overnight shifts (for night role).
