An established and growing electrical contractor is seeking an experienced Electrical Test Engineer to carry out EICRs, inspection and testing, and associated remedial works across commercial properties throughout London and the South East. This position would suit a qualified tester who takes pride in producing accurate reports, maintaining high standards and delivering quality work rather than simply rushing through inspections.

The Role:

  • Carrying out EICRs across commercial properties.
  • Completing inspection and testing accurately and professionally.
  • Producing clear, detailed and compliant reports.
  • Identifying defects and coding observations correctly.
  • Carrying out remedial works where required.
  • Liaising professionally with clients, site teams and management.
  • Working safely and efficiently within occupied commercial environments.
  • Maintaining high standards of workmanship and documentation.

Requirements:

Essential:

  • 18th Edition qualification.
  • 2391 or equivalent Inspection & Testing qualification.
  • Proven experience carrying out commercial EICRs.
  • Strong knowledge of BS7671.
  • Full UK driving licence.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Ability to complete reports accurately and on time.
  • Able to work independently and professionally.

Desirable:

  • Experience working in commercial and high-end environments.
  • Experience carrying out remedial works.
  • IPAF and/or PASMA certification.
  • Experience working on compliance contracts.
  • Ambition to progress into Senior Tester, Supervisor or QS roles.
