Our client, a leading company in the commercial fit-out industry is currently seeking an experienced Construction Manager with a background in fit-out and refurbishment projects to join their team on a permanent basis.
Key Responsibilities:
- Organise, direct, and efficiently use all resources, including subcontractors and suppliers, and ensure work is completed to a satisfactory standard.
- Develop and manage project plans, schedules, and budgets to ensure efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
- Manage, coach, and assist supervisory staff in all aspects of their duties.
- Lead and motivate project teams, ensuring effective communication and collaboration throughout all stages of the project.
- Monitor project progress, proactively resolving any issues to prevent delays and cost overruns.
- Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and industry standards, promoting a culture of safety on site.
- Conduct site visits and inspections to monitor quality control, resolve any technical issues, and ensure smooth operations.
- Maintain strong client relationships, ensuring their requirements are met and keeping them informed throughout the project lifecycle.
- Handover of the facility to the end client after project completion.
Essential Skills & Experience:
- Experience with large-scale projects valued at £50 million.
- Advanced Stakeholder Management.
- Advanced risk and opportunity control skills.
- Deputise for Project Manager.
- Comprehensive knowledge of office fit-out processes, including design, construction, and project management.
- Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- In-depth understanding of health, safety, and environmental regulations.
- Proficiency in project management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail.
Must Have Qualifications:
- Degree or equivalent qualification in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
- Black CSCS Card, SMSTS and First Aid certification.
- Possess extensive experience in commercial fit-out.
