We are seeking an experienced Contracts Manager to oversee the delivery of roofing, refurbishment and external works projects across London and Bedfordshire. The successful candidate will take ownership of multiple contracts from pre-start through to completion, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on programme, within budget and to the highest quality standards. This role will primarily focus on roofing contracts but will also involve refurbishment and project-based works.
This is a key position within the business and requires a commercially aware Contracts Manager with strong technical roofing knowledge and the ability to manage client relationships, operational teams and subcontractors effectively.
Key Responsibilities:- Manage multiple roofing and refurbishment contracts simultaneously.
- Oversee project delivery from contract award through to completion.
- Review and administer contract documentation.
- Ensure compliance with contractual obligations and project specifications.
- Manage Site Managers, Supervisors and operational teams.
- Liaise with clients, consultants and stakeholders throughout project delivery.
- Manage subcontractor performance and supply chain relationships.
- Monitor project quality and ensure standards are maintained.
- Identify and mitigate project risks.
- Work closely with the commercial team to maximise project profitability.
- Assist with procurement and resource planning.
- Resolve operational issues and provide leadership across projects.
- Produce and review project reports.
- Previous experience as a Contracts Manager within construction.
- Strong roofing experience is essential.
- Experience managing subcontractor packages and specialist trades.
- Experience delivering multiple projects concurrently.
- Good understanding of construction contracts and contract documentation.
- Strong knowledge of health and safety requirements.
