As a Support Worker, your responsibilities will include:
- Providing high-quality support throughout the day.
- Building trusting and respectful relationships.
- Supporting personal care and individual routines when required.
- Supporting individuals to access the community and take part in activities and interests.
- Encouraging independence, dignity and personal choice.
- Supporting individuals with complex needs.
- Following individual support plans and agreed guidance.
- Responding appropriately to changing needs throughout the day.
- Supporting positive outcomes and reducing behaviours of concern.
- Working closely with colleagues and PBS leads to provide consistent support.
- Encouraging individuals to develop new skills and increase their independence.
- Recording relevant information and completing required documentation.
- Working as part of a close-knit team to provide consistent, person-centred support.
What We’re Looking ForWe welcome applicants with compassion, reliability and the ability to remain calm and positive during challenging situations.
Ideally, you will:
- Have experience in the care or support sector.
- Have experience supporting individuals with complex needs.
- Understand behaviours that may challenge and mental health needs.
- Have experience supporting people with learning disabilities.
- Be patient, proactive and pragmatic.
- Work well as part of a close-knit team.
- Be consistent, dependable and reliable.
- Have good communication skills.
- Be able to follow support plans and procedures.
- Be committed to providing high-quality, person-centred support.
Previous experience working within a supported living environment would be beneficial. However, full training and support will be provided to the right candidate.
Available Shifts & Work Patterns Shifts: 8:00am 8:00pm
We are recruiting for Support Worker positions as part of our expanding team.
Part-Time: Typically 13 shifts per week.
Split shifts cannot be offered due to the structure and consistency required for the service.
The role requires someone who can remain engaged, responsive and professional throughout the day.
As a Support Worker, you will play an important role in supporting the people we support to have a meaningful day, access their local community and develop their independence.
You will also support the wider team by ensuring accurate information is recorded and communicated.
