We are recruiting dedicated and compassionate Waking Night Support Workers to join a brand-new care package supporting J, a gentleman with cerebral palsy and autism, in his own home and community.
J has a great sense of humour, enjoys social interaction and likes to maintain his independence. This is an exciting opportunity for a Waking Night Support Worker to join a new support team and help build consistent, person-centred support from the beginning.
As a Waking Night Support Worker, you will provide high-quality, person-centred support tailored to J's individual needs, preferences and goals.
Your Responsibilities
As a Waking Night Support Worker, your responsibilities will include:
- Supporting J with his evening and overnight routines.
- Providing reassurance and support throughout the night.
- Promoting Js independence and dignity.
- Building a positive and supportive relationship with J.
- Supporting Js individual needs during waking night shifts.
- Working positively with colleagues and the wider support team.
- Providing consistent and person-centred support.
J attends a day centre three times per week independently. Your role will support his wider needs at home and in the community.
Waking Night Shifts
This care package provides 24/7 support, with waking night shifts available from 9pm onwards.
As a Waking Night Support Worker, you will remain awake throughout the night and provide support to J as required.
- Flexible availability is preferred.
- Other shift patterns are also available, including:
- 9am 9pm day shifts.
- 3pm 9am sleep-in shifts.
- 3pm 9pm evening shifts.
What Were Looking For
We are looking for a Waking Night Support Worker who is caring, reliable and committed to providing high-quality support.
You will need:
- A full UK driving license, which is essential.
- A caring and reliable nature.
- The ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- A positive and respectful approach.
- The ability to encourage independence and choice.
Previous care or support experience is welcomed but is not essential, as full training will be provided.
Most importantly, we are looking for someone who is patient, compassionate and genuinely wants to make a positive difference to Js life.
