We are recruiting dedicated and compassionate Bank Support Workers to join a brand-new care package supporting J, a gentleman with cerebral palsy and autism, in his own home and community.
J has a great sense of humour, enjoys social interaction and likes to maintain his independence. This is an exciting opportunity for a Bank Support Worker to join a new team, offering flexible support that fits around your lifestyle while helping build consistent, person-centred care from the beginning.
As a Bank Support Worker, you will provide high-quality, person-centred support tailored to J's individual needs, preferences and goals on an as-needed basis.
Your Responsibilities
- Routine support: Assist J with his daily, evening, or overnight routines depending on your shift as a Bank Support Worker.
- Independence & dignity: Promote J's independence and respect his dignity at all times.
- Relationship building: Develop a positive, supportive, and trusting relationship with J.
- Teamwork: Work positively alongside colleagues and the wider support team to ensure consistent care.
- Community engagement: Support J's wider needs at home and in the community (J attends a day centre three times per week independently).
Flexible Shifts & Availability
This care package provides 24/7 support. As a Bank Support Worker, you can pick up shifts that match your availability.
Shift patterns include:
- Day shifts: 9am 9pm
- Evening shifts: 3pm 9pm
- Sleep-in shifts: 3pm 9am
- Waking night shifts: 9pm onwards (remaining awake throughout the night to provide reassurance and support)
What We're Looking For
We are looking for a Bank Support Worker who is reliable and committed to join our casual bank staff.
You will need:
- Driving license: Full UK driving license (essential).
- Traits: A caring, reliable nature with a positive and respectful approach.
- Skills: Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team.
- Values: A strong commitment to encouraging independence and choice.
