We have an exciting opportunity for a new team member to join our Finance team in the Cardiff office

Key Responsibilities

  • Purchase Ledger Management: Accurately processing and matching supplier invoices, managing payment runs, and resolving statement queries.
  • Daily Accounting Tasks: Supporting general bookkeeping, processing bank reconciliations, managing expenses, and tracking data within financial systems.
  • Client Account Support (Desirable): Assisting with compliant transactions, ensuring strict adherence to the Solicitors Regulation Authority (SRA) Accounts Rules.
  • Payroll Processing (Desirable): Providing support for end-to-end employee payroll operations, managing calculations, deductions, and documentation.
  • Collaborative Support: Working closely with legal executives, fee earners, and senior management to ensure internal financial procedures remain accurate and compliant.

Required Experience & Skills

  • Essential: Proven background working in a dedicated finance or accounts role.
  • Desirable: Prior legal sector experience with knowledge of client account rules.
  • Desirable: Familiarity with processing corporate payroll and statutory rules.
  • Technical Proficiency: Competent with major accounting software packages and highly proficient in Microsoft Excel.
  • Soft Skills: Exceptional numerical accuracy, a highly organised approach to workload, and the ability to handle confidential financial data with discretion.
