We are seeking a Solicitor to join our Litigation and Dispute Resolution team. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced solicitor (3+ years PQE) to be involved with a growing department handling a wide range of disputes. We are particularly keen to hear from candidates with an interest in business development who are eager to contribute to the continued growth of the firm and to raise the profile of the department.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage a varied caseload of commercial and civil litigation disputes, including contractual claims, property litigation, boundary disputes, leasehold disputes, professional negligence, contested probate and shareholder or partnership disputes.
- Advise clients through all stages of dispute resolution, including pre-action, negotiation, mediation, arbitration, and litigation.
- A track record of working on small claims, fast track claims, intermediate track and multi-track claims.
- Draft and review pleadings, witness statements, correspondence, and all key legal documents.
- Represent clients effectively in court proceedings and alternative dispute resolution forums.
- Strong attention to detail, analytical skills, and problem-solving ability, with the confidence to handle complex legal issues independently.
Qualifications & Skills
- Qualified solicitor (England & Wales) with a minimum of 3 years’ PQE in litigation and dispute resolution.
- Strong advocacy and negotiation skills, with experience handling a varied range of disputes.
- Excellent drafting ability and attention to detail.
- Ability to manage a full case load of pre-litigated and litigated matters.
- Strong interpersonal and client management skills.
- A proactive, team-oriented approach and enthusiasm for contributing to the development of the department.
- A keen interest in business development and a willingness to participate in marketing and networking activities.
