CJC Recruit are recruiting on behalf of a confidential client for an experienced Site Manager to oversee construction projects based in Tayside. This role is responsible for the day-to-day management of site operations, ensuring works are delivered safely, on programme, within budget, and to a high-quality standard.
Key Responsibilities
- Full responsibility for site health & safety compliance
- Day-to-day supervision of site teams, subcontractors, and agency staff
- Allocation of daily work activities and clear communication of work instructions
- Liaison with design teams on drawings, specifications, and technical queries
- Monitoring and managing construction programmes to meet key dates
- Producing 2–4 week look-ahead programmes (Excel-based)
- Ensuring labour, plant, and materials are available to meet programme requirements
- Implementation of quality control processes, inspections, and defect management
- Identifying training and development requirements for site teams
- Preparing accurate material take-offs with supporting documentation
Essential Requirements
- CITB SMSTS
- CSCS Card
- First Aid Certificate
- Full UK Driving Licence
- Proven experience managing complex, multi-disciplinary construction projects
- Strong leadership, communication, and organisational skills
- Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office (Excel essential)
