We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Team Leader to join our team. This role involves providing essential care and support to children, helping them achieve their developmental goals within a nurturing environment. The Team Leader will work as a member of the team in the provision of crisis care and support services for children and young people who may display challenging behaviours. Due to regulations, applicants must be older than the children they are looking after, so applicants will need to be aged 21 years or more.
Skills/Abilities
- Proven ability to work on own initiative
- Knowledge and understanding of issues relating to people with challenging and emotional behaviours and learning difficulties
- Committed to providing person-centred approaches
- Hold a level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare or equivalent (Level 3 Diploma in Adult Care)
- At least 3 years experience working with children or in childcare settings is highly desirable
- Full UK driving licence with clean driving record is preferred
- Strong communication skills to liaise effectively with children, families, and team members
- Knowledge of child development principles and care plans
- Basic IT skills for documentation and reporting purposes
- Compassionate attitude with a genuine interest in supporting children's growth and development
- Ability to make decisions and problem solve

- Ability to work flexibly according to organisational needs and schedules which includes sleep-in duties - be available for cover as and when required
