Supervisor – 16 hours

C J Lang & Son Ltd is the wholesaler for SPAR Scotland, the largest symbol group in Scotland with over 300 convenience stores across the country. We are a family-owned Retail and Distribution business with our Head Office based in Dundee. We are proud to serve local communities through our Company Owned SPAR Stores throughout Scotland and have a distribution network covering countryside to coast backed by outstanding operational organisation.
We are looking for a Supervisor to join our team at SPAR Orleans Place, Dundee
As a Supervisor you will work as part of a team to deliver exceptional customer service at all times whilst upholding the Company Values. This will involve assisting the Store Manager with the day to day running of the store.
ACTIVITIES
- Provide friendly, efficient customer service to meet customer needs in all areas of the store (Retail, Food to Go, PO Local)
- Responsible for opening and closing of the Store
- Attend call outs if the store alarm is activated during non-trading hours
- Supervise and support team members on shift, allocate tasks to ensure duties are completed in a timely manner
- Cash up and balance tills in line with company cash procedures
- Promote the image and brand of our company through professional behaviour and personal presentation ensuring you are smart and ready for work at all times
- Merchandise store according to store standards and company planograms
- Actively sell and promote offers to customers
- Process all sales transactions accurately and in line with Company procedures
- Adhere to all Company security measures to protect colleagues and stock
- Use the relevant systems for price checking, Shelf Edge Labelling (SEL) and stock control
- Deputise and provide cover for the Store Manager in their absence
- Follow all current Company procedures in line with current legal requirements
- Complete all relevant training requirements to fulfil the role
- Maintain a high standard of cleanliness in the store at all times
