Our Customer Service Assistants work as a team; together we provide everything from tonight’s dinner to ‘Food to Go’, to the communities we serve. We are open 7 days a week from early morning until late at night so flexibility is important; you might need to work some mornings, evenings and weekends. We are looking to enhance our store team with great communicators and customer focused people who deliver friendly and efficient customer service every time. Although retail experience within the grocery sector is a plus, don’t worry it’s not essential as we’ll ensure that you have all the training you need to do an amazing job. What you’ll do:
- Food preparation including fresh Subway sandwiches and bread and cookie baking
- Ensure compliance with all food storage and preparation area Health & Safety standards
- Complete Food to Go duties including food preparation, cooking food items, temperature checks, cleaning of equipment, rotation and waste and serving customers food items.
- Process all sales transactions accurately and in line with Company procedures.
- Carry out ID checks for all age-related sales.
- Unpack deliveries and replenish stock throughout the store.
- Merchandise store, and complete promotion changes in line with company planograms.
- Actively sell and promote offers to customers.
- Complete price checking and updating of Shelf Edge Labelling (SEL).
- Conduct daily temperate checks.
- Carry out cleaning duties to maintain high standards of cleanliness throughout the store including the shop floor, storerooms and back of house areas.
- Adhere to all Company security measures to protect colleagues, customers and stock.
- Promote the image and brand of our company through professional behaviour and personal presentation ensuring you are always smart and ready for work.
- Comply with all food hygiene regulations.
- Follow all Company procedures in line with legal requirements.
- Complete all relevant training requirements to fulfil the role.
