CJ Lang & Son Ltd is the wholesaler for SPAR Scotland, the largest symbol group in Scotland. The company is a familyâowned Retail and Distribution business based in Dundee, serving local communities through CompanyâOwned SPAR Stores across Scotland and operating a distribution network from countryside to coast.
We are looking for a Supervisor to join our team at SPAR Barry Road, Carnoustie. The role involves delivering exceptional customer service, assisting the Store Manager, and upholding the Company Values.
Responsibilities- Provide friendly, efficient customer service across Retail, Food to Go, and PO Local.
- Be responsible for opening and closing the store.
- Attend callâouts if the store alarm is activated during nonâtrading hours.
- Supervise and support team members on shift, allocating tasks to ensure duties are completed in a timely manner.
- Balance tills and perform cashâup in line with company cash procedures.
- Promote the company's image and brand through professional behaviour and personal presentation.
- Merchandise the store according to company planograms and store standards.
- Actively sell and promote offers to customers.
- Process all sales transactions accurately and in line with company procedures.
- Adhere to all company security measures to protect colleagues and stock.
- Use relevant systems for price checking, Shelf Edge Labelling, and stock control.
- Deputise and provide cover for the Store Manager in their absence.
- Follow all current company procedures in line with legal requirements.
- Complete all relevant training requirements to fulfil the role.
- Maintain a high standard of cleanliness in the store at all times.
