We are seeking a reliable and experienced HGV Cement Tank Driver to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for safely transporting cement in specialised tankers to various sites, ensuring timely deliveries and adherence to all safety regulations. Duties
- Operate HGV lorries equipped with cement tanks, adhering strictly to all road safety and company policies.
- Conduct pre-journey inspections of the vehicle, including checking fluid levels, brakes, tyres, and mechanical components.
- Load and unload cement at designated sites, ensuring proper handling and safety procedures are followed.
- Maintain accurate delivery documentation and logs for each journey.
- Assist with minor mechanical repairs or troubleshooting when necessary, utilising your mechanical knowledge.
- Comply with all health and safety regulations, including driving hours limitations and load securing protocols.
- Report any vehicle defects or accidents immediately to management.
Qualifications
- Valid HGV licence with relevant categories for cement tanker operation.
- Proven experience in commercial driving, preferably within the construction or bulk materials sector.
- Mechanical knowledge to assist with basic vehicle maintenance and troubleshooting.
