Monday - Friday 8.15am - 4.45pm, anything over 40hrs PW paid at £25.50 per hour. Weekend overtime optional.
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Mechanic to join our maintenance team. The successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Inspecting, repairing, and maintaining a variety of HGV vehicles and trailers.
- Diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining fleet of HGVs and trailers to industry standards.
- Carrying out inspections and repairs within the yard when required using company van.
- Conducting inspections and routine maintenance in line with schedules.
- Investigating, diagnosing, and repairing complex mechanical and electrical issues.
- Preparing and presenting vehicles for MOT.
- Completing all required documentation accurately on company application.
- Attending breakdowns with company van.
Overtime available. Hourly rate to be agreed.
What We're Looking For:
- NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in HGV Repair and Maintenance.
- Minimum 3 years' post-qualification experience (negotiable).
- Experience of working on trailers.
- Van driving experience required.
- UK CE (Class 1) Driving Licence (preferred).
- Team player who can also work independently in a fast-paced environment.
- Flexibility in the work environment.
- IRTEC qualification desirable.
