Dedicated Part‑Time Payroll Officer needed to join our busy bureau. We are looking for a UK based experienced, qualified Payroll Specialist to join our busy team processing over 200 payrolls. The candidate requires extensive experience managing varying payrolls. Role will be part time (15-20 hours per week).
Responsibilities:
- Processing end to end large quantities of weekly, fortnightly and monthly payrolls efficiently and with accuracy.
- Query resolution with employers and employees by email and phone.
- Liaison with accountant for bureau payrolls.
- Manage pension regulator duties.
- Auto Enrolment compliance administration.
- Liaising with HMRC; Setting up PAYE schemes for clients with HMRC.
- Calculating holiday and absence as well as statutory leave payments such as SSP/SMP/SPP/SHPP, ensuring compliance with government guidelines.
- Payroll year‑end processes such as P11ds.
Qualifications:
- End to end payroll processing knowledge and experience, with full UK payroll legislation knowledge.
- Ability to meet strict and tight deadlines, managing own time, workload, and able to work under pressure.
- Excellent communication skills (verbal & written) and be a team player.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Good IT skills including payroll software (training on other software will be provided).
Additional Information:
Hybrid working option to be considered although majority of work can be managed remotely. Candidate to be able to easily travel to the Northamptonshire area.
