Head of Education Planning, Resources and Sustainability– London – 3 months
Venn Group’s specialist Local Government recruitment team is recruiting a Head of Education for a London Borough. This is a senior interim leadership role focused on school organisation, place planning, public consultation and stakeholder engagement.
You will be responsible for:
- Leading and managing consultation activity relating to school expansions, reductions, amalgamations, new provision and changes to existing provision
- Developing and analysing data to support education planning and decision-making
- Building strong relationships with school leaders, communities and key stakeholders
- Managing sensitive and emotionally charged consultation processes with professionalism and credibility
- Provide expert advice on relevant education legislation, statutory guidance and school sufficiency requirements
- Contribute to the Council's strategic approach to school financial sustainability, resource management and funding.
- Working independently and taking ownership of key projects with limited management oversight
- Navigating complex and politically sensitive environments
About you:
- Experience in a local authority, academy trust or another education setting
- Prior experience school place planning and/or school organisation
- Demonstrate an understanding of relevant guidance and the ability to engage effectively with SEND stakeholders
- Manage a wide range of stakeholders and community interests
- Work effectively within politically sensitive or contentious environments
- Communicate complex issues clearly
