The charity aims to define the highest standards of responsible investment and to drive change until these standards are adopted worldwide. The charity's work focuses on topics such as climate change, biodiversity and workforce issues.

A great opportunity exists for a Head of UK Policy to join the team. As Head of UK Policy, you will lead a team to influence the way regulation can drive a more responsible financial sector. You will work closely with colleagues focused on research, engagement and networks in order to amplify the charity’s impact. This is a full-time, permanent role, hybrid in London.

Who are we looking for?

  • Substantial experience in UK policy or public affairs.
  • Strong understanding of UK policymaking processes.
  • Proven track record of influencing UK public policy and engaging with senior policymakers, regulators, parliamentarians and other key stakeholders.
  • Sound knowledge of responsible investment, financial and/or sustainability regulation or a strong commitment to acquiring this knowledge quickly.
  • Demonstrative experience of leading successful policy advocacy strategies, ideally within a campaigning or civil society organisation.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills including experience supporting colleagues’ development and performance.
  • Highly developed communication skills—verbal and written, including the ability to draft persuasive policy documents and represent the organisation in high-level forums.
  • Existing relationships within the UK sustainable finance or regulatory ecosystem would be an advantage.
