The Opportunity
Civitas Recruitment are excited to be working with a great international humanitarian charity who are seeking to appoint a Community Fundraising professional to grow and steward a portfolio of supporters and community partners. You will develop and deliver a structured plan to increase community income, strengthen relationships and provide excellent supporter experience, working closely with colleagues across fundraising and communications.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver and grow community fundraising income through a structured plan across local groups, schools, clubs and individual fundraisers.
- Recruit, steward and retain supporters, providing high-quality fundraising advice, materials and supporter care.
- Build partnerships with community leaders and networks, identifying new opportunities to expand reach.
- Plan and deliver fundraising activities and events, ensuring excellent supporter experience.
- Track performance against KPIs, maintaining accurate CRM records and producing clear reports and insight.
- Work collaboratively with fundraising and communications colleagues to promote appeals and campaigns.
The Candidate
- Proven experience in community fundraising or supporter-led fundraising, with a track record of meeting income targets.
- Strong relationship-building skills, confident engaging with diverse communities and stakeholders.
- Excellent organisation and project management skills, able to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including confident presentations and supporter engagement.
- Data-aware and comfortable using CRM systems and reporting to monitor performance and improve results.
- A collaborative, proactive approach aligned to mission and values.
