The Opportunity
Civitas Recruitment are delighted to be working with an International Humanitarian Charity to recruit an International Programs Manager. This role will lead the effective delivery of international programmes, working closely with partners and internal teams to ensure high-quality implementation, strong grant compliance and clear reporting against outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead delivery of international programmes across planning, implementation, monitoring and reporting to achieve agreed outcomes.
- Manage relationships with in-country partners and stakeholders, ensuring effective communication and high-quality delivery.
- Oversee programme budgets, compliance and grant management, ensuring donor requirements are met.
- Coordinate proposal development, workplans, logframes and reporting, working closely with fundraising and technical colleagues.
- Strengthen monitoring, learning and evaluation, using data and insight to drive continuous improvement.
- Manage risk, safeguarding and due diligence processes, escalating issues appropriately and ensuring strong controls.
- Contribute to organisational learning and cross-team collaboration, sharing insights and best practice.
The Candidate
- Proven experience managing international development or humanitarian programmes, including partner management. However training can be provided to address gaps.
- Ability to manage grants and contractors, including donor compliance, budgeting and reporting.
- Understanding of how to develop proposals, workplans and results frameworks (e.g., logframes) and using MEL data to improve delivery.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills; culturally aware and able to work across time zones.
- Highly organised and solutions-focused, able to manage competing priorities and deliver to deadlines.
- Commitment to safeguarding, ethical practice and organisational values; experience of due diligence desirable.
