At Civilistix, we have a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Associate Civil Engineer to join our rapidly growing dynamic consultancy. Civilistix is a modern civil engineering consultancy specialising in the planning and detailed design of highways and drainage infrastructure. We support our clients through all stages of the development process, from preparing outline planning reports such as flood risk assessments, drainage strategies and highway feasibility studies, through to providing fully detailed Highway and Drainage design packages.
If you are a Chartered Engineer (CEng or IEng grade) or otherwise close to, have a wealth of consultancy project management experience within Highway and Drainage design, and want to join a small consultancy where your contributions truly matter, then we would love to hear from you!

Requirements:
- A Chartered Civil Engineer (CEng or IEng grade) or otherwise close to, with extensive experience working within a UK drainage and highway design consultancy (7+ years).
- Degree educated (BEng/BSc) or higher in a relevant field.
- Strong and proven project management skills delivering multiple projects simultaneously on time and within budget.
- Strong and deep-rooted technical skills within highway and drainage design.
- Proven ability preparing fee proposals and corresponding with clients to support the acquisition of new work.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Expert at communication and developing and maintaining good client relationships.
- Based within Cambridgeshire or the immediate surrounding counties.
Key Responsibilities include:
- Preparation of fee proposals / tenders.
- Project management from start to completion.
- Efficiently undertaking design work using applicable software (FLOW, AUTOCAD, SITE 3D).
- Oversee and check the work of a team of civil engineers ensuring outputs adhere to current regulations and ensuring quality submissions to clients.
- Attending site and design team meetings as necessary to support projects.
- Undertake business development as necessary to support and acquire new business relationships.
