The Civil Nuclear Constabulary (CNC) is an armed police service dedicated to the nuclear industry. Our vision is to be recognised as a provider of a world-class service for the protection of nuclear material and facilities. Given the critical nature of our work, it’s vital that we recruit skilled and committed individuals to our team.
We are looking for an Operational Support Officer to provide an efficient and effective support service. You’ll be the first point of contact for business-related enquiries, gaining in-depth knowledge of the organisation and its processes while working with internal and external collaborators and customers. Administration will be a significant part of your role, including venue, travel, and equipment booking, as well as preparing paperwork. You\’ll use our systems to produce reports and forecasts. Collaboration with colleagues to build relationships, manage suppliers, raise purchase orders, and handle financial requests will also be key.
What we\’re looking for:
- Confident IT user with experience of common office systems, procedures, equipment, and facilities
- Hold or be willing to work toward Business Administration qualifications
- Self-motivated, flexible, able to work unsupervised and as part of a team, with excellent interpersonal and organisational skills, capable of managing a heavy and varied workload
- Experience in coordinating meetings and record management systems, with attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent written and verbal communication and customer service skills at all levels, including external partnerships
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion and integrity
