Role Overview
We are looking for a Management Accountant to provide technical business partnering across monthly financial reporting, budgeting and forecasting with an emphasis on process efficiency and improvement, alongside the production of robust management information to support effective decision making. You will take ownership of month‐end reporting processes, including the analysis and production of reporting packs, and lead budgeting and forecasting exercises, receiving financial submissions, consolidating and incorporating into financial plans.
Key Responsibilities
- Work closely with internal and external customers and stakeholders, managing relationships and providing financial advice.
- Develop reporting and support with tracking and financial modelling alongside the Financial Control team to produce accurate and timely end‐of‐year accounts, ensuring financial controls are maintained and audit activities are undertaken.
- Maintain data integrity and collaborate with the System Support team to develop and improve reporting, processes and models.
- Ensure compliance with Managing Public Money principles.
Required Qualifications
- Acute knowledge of managing public money and professional accountant qualification (AAT, ACCA, CIMA or CIPFA) or active study toward a recognised qualification.
- Highly experienced using Enterprise Resource Planning systems and MS Office applications, advanced Excel skills to maintain, develop and build financial models.
- Effective communicator and confident collaborator with stakeholders.
