The Role

We are currently looking for Survey Interviewers for Heathrow Airport. Candidates should have previous customer experience.

The role of Survey interviewer is to collect information on the characteristics of air passengers through face‑to‑face interviews at airside locations:

  • Approach air passengers to seek their cooperation with the survey
  • Obtain accurate information from air passengers both on their journey and their personal details using a pre‑set questionnaire
  • Use judgement to consider the answers given to questions and probe where these seem unusual or inconsistent, revising the recorded answer if appropriate. Indicate on the questionnaire where false information is believed to have been deliberately given
  • Maintain a strict systematic random sampling scheme to ensure integrity of survey results

Shift patterns will be between 6 am and 10:30 pm, largely depending on passenger numbers. Heathrow requires early starts of 6 am, so candidates should live within a commutable distance for shift times.

About You

Previous customer service experience and knowledge of the airport/aviation industry would be beneficial.

Previous experience with market research is advantageous but not essential.

Must be able to read, understand, and speak English fluently; additional languages are an asset.

Experience of working autonomously and without supervision.

Candidate availability: able to work all days of the week with a mix of early and late shifts for 10 shifts per month.

What Can We Offer You?

We offer free parking, uniform allowance, and staff discounts at airport retailers and restaurants.

Additional Information

These roles may require access to operationally sensitive infrastructure and/or nationally protected information. Post holders must undergo National Security Vetting and obtain the appropriate level of clearance.

If you do not meet these requirements, we may not be able to accept your application.

Inclusive Recruitment

We are committed to building a diverse and inclusive workforce and welcome applications from all backgrounds. As a Disability Confident employer, candidates who meet the minimum requirements will be guaranteed an interview. Adjustments during the recruitment process can be made upon request.
