The predicted salary is between 34000 - 35000 £ per year.

Location: London – Canary Wharf (min 2 days in the office per week).

Salary: £34,000 up to £35,000 dependent upon experience.

Contract Type: Permanent, Full-time.

Security Level: BPSS.

We are the UK's aviation and aerospace regulator. The role focuses on the financial sustainability of the aviation and travel businesses CAA regulates, including licensed tour operators, airlines and companies operating in the space industry. The Senior Analyst will support the team in managing the regulation of a portfolio of licensed tour operators and, where applicable, airlines, ensuring compliance with ATOL and other relevant legislation.

Responsibilities:

  • Support the delivery of processes that grant, renew or vary ATOLs or Operating Licences.
  • Perform in‑depth quantitative and qualitative analysis across the portfolio to ensure financial sustainability and regulatory compliance.
  • Contribute to year‑round financial monitoring and advise on potential corporate transactions or financial distress situations.
  • Assist in the production of relevant reports for departmental, CAA‑wide or external audiences.
  • Take on ad hoc project work, including analysing and interpreting industry data and helping to document guidelines and procedures.

Qualifications:

  • Strong numerical, data and modelling skills with the ability to interrogate datasets and develop financial models.
  • Proficient IT skills – Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and SharePoint.
  • Basic understanding of financial statements, KPIs and financial concepts.
  • Excellent communication and influencing skills, able to present issues and recommendations clearly and convincingly.
  • Ability to manage own workload effectively while maintaining quality and accuracy.
  • Team player with a willingness to learn about the air travel industry and operating models.
  • Desire to understand key travel regulations, particularly ATOL, Air Travel Trust and Package Travel Regulations.
  • Intermediate accounting or finance qualification (e.g. part‑qualified accountant or equivalent) – helpful but not essential.
