Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage assigned vacancies, liaising with hiring managers to understand needs and provide strategic recruitment advice.
  • Provide guidance on recruiting trends, legislation, and candidate attraction methods, including recommendations of assessments and psychometric tools.
  • Screen candidate applications, build effective shortlists, and directly source candidates through relevant channels.
  • Engage proactively with candidates to build relationships and enhance the CAA reputation as an employer of choice.
  • Partner with recruitment agencies on the preferred supplier list.
  • Stay current on talent market developments through research.
  • Collaborate with People & Culture colleagues to ensure a positive customer and candidate experience.
  • Contribute to the design and delivery of assessment centres and psychometric tests.
  • Add significant value to the Employer Value Proposition.

Qualifications

  • In-house recruitment experience within the public/regulatory sector, including direct sourcing, candidate management, ATS management, and knowledge of LinkedIn Recruiter.
  • Experience recruiting for scarce skilled vacancies in areas such as engineering, corporate services, and aviation security.
  • Ability to prioritise workload, adapt to a fast-paced recruitment environment, and collaborate effectively with internal and external partners.
  • Eligible for BPS level 1 & 2 security clearance (formerly BPS level A & B).
  • Experience designing and delivering assessment centres and administering, interpreting psychometric tests.
  • Understanding of AI tools and their application in recruitment.

Additional Information

Many appointments within the CAA require access to operationally sensitive infrastructure and/or Nationally Protected information. Post holders must undergo National Security Vetting and achieve the appropriate clearance level. BPSS – To be vetted you must have the right to work in the UK.
