This is a unique opportunity for a commercially-minded and customer-focused Presales and Bid Consultant to play a pivotal role in the success of Civica\’s Catering solutions. Reporting to the Head of Presales, you\’ll be a key member of the Education division, supporting our sales efforts by demonstrating product value, responding to tenders, and providing expert insight into the Catering and Hospitality sectors.
If you\’re passionate about connecting customer needs to practical solutions, have excellent communication skills, and enjoy collaborating across technical and non-technical teams, this role offers the chance to influence outcomes and make a real difference.

  • Serve as the subject matter expert for Civica\’s Catering Management and Cashless Catering products, supporting sales conversations across the Education and Hospitality markets.
  • Deliver tailored product demonstrations that clearly address customer challenges and showcase the value of our solutions.
  • Respond to bids and tenders with well-crafted, accurate content that articulates how our products meet customer needs and align with sector requirements.
  • Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to understand key pain points, trends, and compliance needs in the catering space.
  • Lead discovery sessions with prospective clients, ensuring solutions are tailored to their operational and legislative requirements.
  • Contribute to the continual improvement of presales processes and customer engagement practices, aligned to Civica\’s values and business goals.
  • Support cross-functional collaboration with sales, product, and technical teams to ensure solution design and messaging reflect current market expectations.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of catering sector policy changes and use this insight to inform our positioning and approach

Requirements

  • Strong experience in the Catering or Hospitality sector, with a clear understanding of industry-specific challenges, compliance needs, and customer expectations.
  • Demonstrated background in presales, bid management, or technical sales—ideally within the software industry and involving catering or hospitality-focused solutions.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage a range of stakeholders, craft compelling bid content, and deliver tailored product demonstrations.
  • A consultative and analytical mindset, with the ability to translate customer needs into practical, value-based solution proposals.
  • High attention to detail and a proactive, organised approach to managing multiple priorities, particularly in deadline-driven environments like tenders and bids
