As a Finance Business Partner – Product & Technology, you'll be at the heart of Civica’s SaaS engine, working closely with senior leaders across our Product & Engineering functions. This role is pivotal in supporting investment decisions, driving cost efficiency, and enabling the strategic development of our product portfolio. Reporting to the Senior Finance Business Partner, you’ll play a key role in shaping financial plans, analysing performance, and translating operational metrics into actionable insights. Your work will help ensure financial discipline is embedded across the portfolio, while supporting Civica’s growth and transformation through data-driven decision-making.

Key responsibilities:

  • Act as a trusted finance partner to operational leaders across Civica’s Product and Engineering functions.
  • Support financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting across P&T.
  • Drive accountability for operational performance by contributing to business cases, tracking KPIs, and analysing financial outcomes.
  • Translate operational metrics into financial insights for stakeholders.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with FP&A, Product, Engineering and Data Teams to align financial plans with development capacity and strategic goals.
  • Influence resource planning, cost efficiencies and investment prioritisation.
  • Support Civica’s growth and transformation initiatives by analysing key SaaS metrics such as ARR, CAC, churn, and R&D investment.
  • Contribute to process improvements in forecasting, cost allocation, and profitability reporting across Civica’s product portfolio.
  • Present clear, actionable insights to stakeholders to support decision-making and performance improvement.

Requirements:

  • Qualified accountant with 1-2 years of post-qualified experience.
  • Experience in a finance business partnering role or supporting clients within a SaaS, technology, or product‑led environment.
  • Commercial and financial understanding of SaaS commercial models and operational KPIs.
  • Able to influence and challenge stakeholders using data‑driven insights.
  • Skilled at translating financial and operational data into clear, compelling narratives for both technical and non‑technical audiences.
  • Strong analytical, modelling, and forecasting skills - comfortable with large data sets and scenario analysis.
