This is a high-visibility, strategic role within a small, focused team of four, part of a global Business Unit of 1,200 colleagues (800 UK-based). You will be responsible for shaping and delivering initiatives that make Civica an even better place to work, helping teams thrive and improving engagement across our business. This role is perfect if you are positive, energetic, creative, and enjoy turning ideas into action. You will get the chance to design and deliver innovative programmes, organise engaging events, and use data-driven insights (including quarterly Peakon surveys) to measure impact and demonstrate real improvements in employee experience.
Key Responsibilities- Design and lead initiatives to enhance employee engagement, well-being, and experience across the UK business.
- Turn engagement insights into actionable programmes, helping teams feel heard, valued, and supported.
- Organise events, workshops, and activities that strengthen culture, communication, and collaboration.
- Travel across the UK as required to engage with colleagues and stakeholders in person.
- Collaborate with senior leadership to ensure alignment between engagement initiatives and strategic business goals.
- Monitor and report on engagement metrics (e.g., Peakon), driving continuous improvement and celebrating successes.
- Act as a visible, approachable champion for employees, fostering a positive and inclusive environment.
Experience in employee experience, engagement, or organisational development roles is required. Familiarity with public sector or mission-driven environments is highly desirable. You should be creative, proactive, and solution-oriented with excellent communication and influencing skills. You must be comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-visibility environment with senior stakeholders. The ability to plan, prioritise, and manage multiple initiatives effectively is essential. An energetic, positive, and enthusiastic approach to people and culture is also important.
