As an Implementation Consultant at Civica, you’ll help schools and education providers harness technology that makes everyday operations smoother and more efficient. Your work directly impacts how institutions serve students and communities, ensuring our software delivers real value where it matters most. What you will do to be successful in this role:
- Lead successful software implementations – guide clients through configuration, data migration and go‑live to ensure smooth, efficient deployments that deliver measurable value.
- Act as a trusted advisor – understand each client’s unique needs and tailor Civica’s education solutions to drive better operational and learner outcomes.
- Deliver expert training and consultancy – empower users with the knowledge and confidence to get the most from our products.
- Collaborate cross‑functionally – work closely with product, development and support teams to resolve issues, share insights and continuously improve delivery.
- Champion quality and best practice – ensure solutions meet high standards for accuracy, reliability and usability while maintaining consistent project documentation.
- Drive customer success – build strong relationships that promote adoption, satisfaction and long‑term partnership.
- Contribute to continuous improvement – identify opportunities to enhance our implementation approach, product functionality and client experience.
- Support innovation and growth – feed real‑world insights back to Civica’s teams to shape future software enhancements and ensure we stay ahead of client needs.
Requirements:
- Proven experience delivering software implementations – from configuration and data migration through to go‑live and post‑launch support.
- Strong client‑facing communication skills – able to build trust, manage expectations and translate complex technical concepts into clear, practical guidance.
- Analytical problem‑solving ability – quickly identifies issues, proposes effective solutions and maintains a calm, solutions‑focused approach.
- Collaborative mindset – works seamlessly with cross‑function teams including product, development and support to achieve shared goals.
- Organised and delivery‑focused – manages multiple projects effectively, prioritising workload to meet deadlines and maintain quality.
- Adaptability and curiosity – thrives in dynamic environments, learns new systems quickly and embraces continuous improvement.
- Commitment to customer success – genuinely motivated by helping clients achieve positive outcomes through technology.
- Technical literacy – comfortable working with data, cloud‑based systems and modern software tools to support configuration and troubleshooting.
- Ability to drive and travel – must hold a full UK driving licence and have access to a vehicle, with flexibility to visit client sites across the UK as required.
