You’ll love working as a Summer Auditor at Civica because the role combines travel, independence, and hands-on work in the education sector. You’ll be out on the road visiting schools across the UK, which means no two days look the same. Instead of being tied to a desk, you’ll get the chance to explore different locations, meet a wide range of people, and experience how schools operate behind the scenes. It’s a great fit for someone who enjoys variety and doesn’t mind travel as part of their routine. The role itself is practical and rewarding. Using the Civica Education System, you’ll recreate each school’s site digitally, ensuring that rooms, layouts, and assets are accurately reflected. You’ll be responsible for logging and auditing items within classrooms and other spaces, giving you a clear sense of ownership over your work and its accuracy. There’s a satisfying, methodical element to it, perfect for someone who enjoys detail-oriented tasks and seeing a project come together.
Responsibilities:
- Travel to schools across the UK between July and September to carry out on-site audits
- Use the Civica Education System to accurately replicate each school’s site digitally
- Record and add school assets into the system, ensuring all data is up to date
- Audit and verify assets located within classrooms and other areas of the school
- Deliver basic training to school staff, supporting them in using the system confidently
Requirements:
- Full UK driving licence and access to a car, with willingness to travel to school sites nationwide throughout the summer
- Strong attention to detail to accurately record, audit, and verify school assets within the system
- Basic IT skills, with confidence using digital platforms to replicate school sites and manage asset data
- Good communication skills to effectively interact with school staff and deliver clear, basic system training
- Ability to work independently while managing time and responsibilities across multiple school visits
