3-Month Contract with a Local Authority
This role involves working directly with families, children, and young people aged 0-18 to support their development and well-being. The position requires collaboration with professionals and agencies to ensure positive outcomes and life opportunities for children and young people in Worcestershire.
Responsibilities include:
- Conduct direct work and support for children, including pre-schoolers, and their families as part of assessments, plans, or reviews.
- Encourage and empower parents/carers to take responsibility for meeting their children's needs.
- Enhance parents' and carers' understanding of child development and needs.
- Support the care of children within their families through parenting support.
- Work with families at high risk of breakdown.
- Ensure child safety through assessment and planning processes.
- Significant experience in a similar service area, working with children or families needing additional support.
- Experience collaborating with families and networks to help individuals achieve their goals.
- Practical skills in working directly with children, young people, and families to advise, support, and engage them.
