Job Purpose
This role is primarily focused on data cleansing, data quality improvement, and spreadsheet management, ensuring housing and asset data is accurate, consistent, and fit for purpose. This is an excellent opportunity for a junior or early-career candidate, such as a recent graduate with a data background, to gain hands-on experience within a local government setting.
Responsibilities
- Clean, validate, and standardize large housing datasets to improve accuracy and usability.
- Identify and correct duplicates, inconsistencies, and missing data across systems.
- Maintain structured and well-organized datasets for operational use.
- Work extensively with Excel and spreadsheets to manage and manipulate large volumes of data.
- Support the creation and maintenance of basic reports and data trackers.
- Ensure data is updated regularly and aligned across systems.
Essential Experience Required
- Experience working with data in Excel (formulas, sorting, filtering, data cleaning).
- Strong attention to detail and ability to spot errors and inconsistencies.
- Comfortable working with large datasets.
- Ability to organize and manage data effectively.
Essential Qualifications Required
- Degree (or working towards) in Data, Business Analytics, IT, Mathematics, or a related field. Equivalent experience or relevant training will also be considered.

- Working hours: 36 hours per week
- Location: 64 Victoria Street, London, Greater London, SW1E6QP, United Kingdom
- Work pattern: 2 days remote, 3 days in the office
- We work on a bi-weekly schedule.
