Job Title: HGV Class 2 Driver
Valid HGV Class 2 (Category C) Licence – Essential.
Job Purpose
To safely and efficiently operate a Class 2 vehicle collecting commercial waste from customer locations while maintaining high standards of customer service, health and safety, and compliance with transport regulations.
Key Responsibilities
- Always Operate a Class 2 HGV vehicle safely and legally.
- Collect and transport commercial waste in accordance with company and environmental regulations.
- Complete daily vehicle checks and reports any defects promptly.
- Ensure all collections are completed within scheduled timeframes.
- Follow health and safety procedures and safe working practices.
- Maintain accurate records, including vehicle and collection documentation.
- Provide excellent customer service when interacting with clients.
- Work collaboratively with loaders and site teams as required.
- Keep the vehicle clean and presentable.
Experience Required
- Previous experience driving a Class 2 (Category C) vehicle.
- Experience within waste management, recycling, or commercial collections is desirable.
- Good knowledge of UK road transport regulations.
- Strong awareness of health and safety requirements.Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Valid HGV Class 2 (Category C) Licence – Essential.
Additional Information
- Pay Rate: £22.20 per hour (UMB).
- Bank Holidays and overtime paid at time and a half.
- Ad Hoc Temporary Assignment.
- Up to 4 days per week.
- 9.25-hour shifts.
- Monday to Friday working pattern.
- One rest day within the week.
- No references required.
